My 59th blog -💌 A February Embrace: A
Love Letter to Me
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not
envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres." — 1 Corinthians 13:4,7
Dear Me,
In this season of love, when the world is adorned with roses,
sweetened by chocolates, and softened by warm embraces, I pause to write to
you—the one who has journeyed with me through tranquil meadows and rugged paths
alike. You are not perfect—indeed, you were never meant to be. Yet within those
imperfections rests a quiet strength, a resilience that has carried you farther
than you often recognize, and with a grace that deserves to be cherished.
I want to thank you for rising again and again, even when your
knees grow weary and the road feels heavy, strewn with thorns and stones. For
the laughter you share so freely, the tears you allow to trace their way down
your gentle cheeks, and the courage you summon when fear insists that the
challenges before you are too great. You have learned the art of bending
without breaking, of pausing without surrendering, and of carrying hope even in
the weight of uncertainty.
This February, as an important milestone in your life draws
near, I choose to celebrate you—not with vainglory, pride, or
self-centeredness, but with gratitude. You are worthy of love. You are worthy
of forgiveness for the countless mistakes you have made, and of compassion for
the immense battles that continue to come your way.
If there is one gift I treasure most in you, it is the gift of
empathy—especially in the way you recognize yourself in others. I see how you
listen with care to the concerns of those around you, how you strive to make
spaces brighter, gentler, and kinder. The love you pour out so freely is also the
love you deserve to receive.
So here is my promise: I will speak to you kindly. I
will honor your needs. I will celebrate your victories, no matter how small,
and I will hold you tenderly in moments of doubt. You are never alone—you have
me, always.
May this month of love remind you that the greatest romance
begins within. Not necessarily with someone who may bring heartache, but with
the steady embrace of self-acceptance. Not in self-centeredness, but in the
quiet recognition that you are enough. And may this love within you shine outward, touching others with the same grace and kindness that you have finally learned to give yourself.
With love that is steady and true,
Me
“Love is divine, and embracing it is embracing God.” 1 John
