About Me

Hello and welcome!

My name is Carlyn, but most people know me as Beth—a paralegal, online English instructor, corporate secretary, and passionate baker. Life has taken me through winding roads, and I’ve emerged not only as a breast cancer survivor, but also as a woman embracing change, purpose, and creativity. Today, I step into a new role: a budding blogger.

Creating this blog is my way of sharing my story and connecting with others who are navigating their own turning points. It’s a space where I reflect, encourage, and grow—alongside you.

🌿 My Journey

Life hasn’t always been easy. My civil annulment in 2018 and church annulment in 2021 were two of the most challenging—and ultimately liberating—experiences of my life. Those years taught me the power of self-reinvention, and they led me back to the things that bring me peace and purpose.

In rediscovering who I am, I’ve found strength in four key areas:

As a paralegal, I’ve gained practical knowledge—especially in family law and the annulment process—that I hope will empower others. While I’m not licensed to provide legal advice, I’ll share the steps and resources that helped me navigate these difficult chapters in the hope they’ll help you, too.

💛 Life After Annulment

Annulment was both an end and a beginning. Here, I’ll reflect on the struggles, healing, and personal triumphs that helped me rebuild not only my life but also my sense of self.

🌱 Personal Growth

At my age, I’m living proof that it’s never too late to start again. This blog celebrates second chances, small joys, and the beautiful act of becoming—at any stage in life.

🥐 My Creative Side

Aside from sharing my little knowledge about law, I find deep joy in living a life kneaded with flour and seasoned with adventure. Between rolling pins and boarding passes, I’ve learned that the world has as much to teach in a quiet bakery as it does on a bustling street in a faraway land.

Baking keeps me grounded. Traveling keeps me curious. And as I continue to grow in both, I carry with me the flavors, stories, and quiet wisdom of every place I've been—blending them into something uniquely my own, one recipe and one journey at a time.
