A Special Blog:  A Celebration of Cecile: Aging Like Fine Wine (or the Perfect Soufflé)

Today, I write in honor of my eldest sister, Cecile—a woman so overflowing with talent, wisdom, and charm that it wouldn’t be surprising if she secretly discovered the fountain of youth but decided not to tell the rest of us.

Living to be 70 might seem ordinary to some, but let’s be honest: in a world where our diets consist of processed delights that probably have more preservatives than actual nutrients, reaching this milestone is nothing short of a culinary miracle.  And yet, here Cecile stands—gracious, brilliant, and somehow still making the rest of us look unprepared for life.

Her talent? Immeasurable. Her riches? Well, if we count the wealth of love, and wisdom she’s generously bestowed upon us all, then yes—she is absolutely one of the richest souls to ever grace this planet.

Seventy years of Cecile means seventy years of generosity, kindness, laughter. But most importantly, seventy years of showing us what it means to live fully, love deeply, and age as gracefully as a well-baked soufflé.

Happy birthday, Ate Cecile!  I love you. ❤️
