Fresh Perspectives: A Taste of Solaire Ventris North’s Buffet


They say, ‘Birds of a feather flock together,’ and I couldn’t agree more. I knew exactly who to invite for a buffet feast at a hotel somewhere in Pasig—my friend, Beng who I consider as an epicure. But instead of the original hotel I had in mind, she suggested Fresh Buffet at Solaire Ventris North. Without hesitation, I said yes, already imagining sinking my teeth into the luscious lobsters and crabs Solaire is known for. True enough, the experience did not disappoint. It was, without a doubt, one of the best seafood buffet meals we’ve ever had.

 

I usually start a buffet meal with a salad, but this time, I went straight for the kill—the lobsters and crabs, just waiting to be devoured. Beng was on the same wavelength, and together, we indulged in the succulent seafood, expertly prepared—whether bathed in butter, delicately steamed, or infused with special sauces and spices.

 

Naturally, I couldn’t resist sampling other offerings, spanning Filipino, Chinese, Italian, and Japanese cuisines. Each dish was a delight, including the desserts from the petit fours to the raspberry and rocky road ice cream, churros, and an array of sweet temptations.

 

Complementing the feast were refreshing drinks—sodas, cucumber and iced tea blends, Moscato white wine, and soothing decaffeinated coffee. No wonder Fresh Buffet was teeming with diners, unfazed by the price.

 

Was it all worth it? Without a doubt. I’ve tried many buffets before, but as a seafood lover, I wouldn’t hesitate to dine at this hotel again. Beyond the incredible food, I was struck by the sheer grandeur of the building itself.  Everyone knows Solaire as a casino hotel, but gambling was never our focus—we were here for the seafood buffet. And if you share the same passion, I highly recommend experiencing it at least once. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

 

As I walked away from the table, satisfied and savoring the lingering flavors, I realized that dining isn’t just about food—it’s about the moments we indulge in, the company we cherish, and the joy of discovery. Fresh Buffet delivered all of that, leaving me already dreaming of my next visit.
