My Blog 63 – At Last! A Home Found

It has been quite some time since I last set words to page. My previous entry chronicled the quest for a place to call my own—a condo unit that would not just be four walls, but a haven.

The journey was long, almost a year of searching, weighing options, and whispering prayers into the quiet. Each visit carried both hope and hesitation, each decision a test of patience. Yet, as the months unfolded, the waiting became part of the story—proof that some blessings arrive only when the heart is ready to receive them.

And now, the chapter turns. I have found my home. Nestled in Tiendesitas, The Grove by Rockwell stands not merely as a residence, but as a promise fulfilled. A place where mornings will begin with light streaming through wide windows, and evenings will settle into peace. After all the wandering, I have arrived.

It took about a month to transform the unit into what it is today—alive with the vibrant hues of peach, yellow, and green walls. Nearly half of the furniture pieces are newly bought, each carefully chosen to bring warmth and character into the space.

Before I dared to spend my first night in this sanctuary, I was blessed with the opportunity to have it consecrated by a priest who, incidentally, officiates the regular Sunday Mass on the sixth floor. My unit, located on the garden level (fourth floor), opens onto a patio that overlooks the expansive lawn.

Each time I step inside, my eyes are drawn to that refreshing view: adults strolling with their dogs, children laughing as they play on the field. In those moments, I remind myself—there is no reason to fear loneliness or confinement within four walls. The openness, the greenery, and the life unfolding just beyond my patio make this home a place of joy and peace.

The blessing of my condo was shared first with my family—my nieces, grandnephews, and siblings gathered together in joy. The second part will be with my sisters in the community and dear friends, who have walked with me in faith and fellowship. I am deeply grateful to God for this gift.

My decision to choose this place was not made lightly; it was guided by countless prayers. In the past, I have made major decisions that ended in disappointment. But this time, I hold no fear of failure—for I know I sought God’s will, and He has led me here.

This home is more than walls and windows; it is a testament to patience, prayer, and providence. And as I step into this new chapter, I carry with me a quiet assurance: where God leads, He sustains—and where He plants, He allows life to flourish.
